Why take out ING fire insurance?
With the extremely extensive basic cover, it is
the essential fire insurance for your home and family. In
addition it can be adapted to your specific needs by choosing other
types of optional cover.
Basic cover*:
- Fire and related risks: lightning,
electrical damage, vehicle colliding into the front of your
property, etc.
- Water damage: ambient humidity, sanitary
facility leaks, gutter overflow, fuel oil leaks from tank or pipes,
etc.
- Home civil liability: what if a
window-box falls from your windowsill onto your neighbour's car? Or
a sudden storm rips off a roof tile which lands on a passer-by's
head? Or you forget to grit the pavement outside your house and a
passer-by slips and breaks their leg? This option covers damage
caused to third parties by your building or its contents.
- Natural disasters: damage resulting from
exceptionally adverse weather conditions, flooding, overflow or
backflow from public drains, earthquakes, landslides or land
subsidence.
- ING Home Assistance: immediate repair of
material damage, rescue and preservation of insured properties,
temporary re-housing of occupiers, sealing-off and/or guard service
for the dwelling, care for the insured and repatriation.
*Non-exhaustive list of risks covered for buildings and/or
contents insurance.
Additional options:
- Theft and vandalism: covers items which
are stolen or damaged during a theft or attempted theft.
- Family civil liability: covers the
financial consequences of accidental injury to third parties by you
or your close family.
- Home and Family legal aid: linked to
family civil liability cover; this option means you will receive
aid if you are prosecuted.
- Domestic staff: covers regularly employed
household staff in your domestic life (babysitter, cleaner, etc.)
as well as occasionally employed staff (maximum 7 working days a
year).
- Vehicles not in use: protection for
vehicles parked in the insured building or in its immediate
surroundings, in particular covering fire and lightning
insurance.
Who is it for?
- Any owner or tenant of a private or
professional property (except for commercial, industrial or
craft-based activities).
- This insurance policy is reserved for private

Belgium and used for private purposes.
- Professional use is authorised provided no
